Act Local, Impact Global: 5,000+ Trees for Climate Action and Land Restoration
This World Environment Day (June 5, 2026), the Center for Human Rights and Sustainable Development (CHRSD) invites you to step up for our planet. While global leaders gather in Azerbaijan to address the climate crisis, CHRSD is bringing the fight to the ground right here in Bangladesh.
We are launching the Sonaimuri Tree Plantation Festival , a massive community-driven environmental campaign to plant 5,000+ native trees in Sonaimuri Upazila.

Our initiative directly supports the Government of Bangladesh’s landmark ambition to plant 250 million trees nationwide. This isn’t just about putting roots in the ground—it’s about restoring degraded land, fighting climate change, and protecting the livelihoods of local communities.
